Mike Wieringo
This week started with a shock: Mike Wieringo, one of the artist I admire the most, passed away on Sunday. I'm amazed of how big is my sense of loss, considering that I didn't really treated him very much, other than some e-mails, PM and forum comments, but I feel like I lost a close friend. Probably because he made pretty much everyone feel that way. He was always very nice and kind and whenever he complimented one of my drawings, I felt so great, full with a childish fanboyish proud. I don't think I've seen such a big and sad mourning in the comic biz, not even when Toth or Eisner died.
Godspeed, Mike.
